If you are a mother that works hard as a mommieprenur or a spiritual practictioner you find that sometimes balancing being a mother and servicing your clients can sometimes be a little difficult because you want to give your best to both but sometimes you’re so tired or depleted once you deal with your family or deal with your clients that you feel like you have nothing to give.
This is why you have to make time for yourself and you have to relax and you have to renew and spend time in the presence of God nurturing your spirit. What a lot of people don’t understand or realize is that if you are a spiritual person whether you are a spiritual counselor a spiritual life coach whether you’re reiki master, if you are servicing clients you are giving from your soul — you actually are giving your very soul essence. There have been times that I have done a class or been with the client for an hour and have been completely exhausted and felt like I really needed to go take a nap. What you have to do is learn how to take care of yourself. Self-care is very important if you are a spiritual practitioner or teacher working anywhere that requires you to tap into your spirit to give spiritual nurturing and spiritual guidance to another person.
Here are some of the things that I do to reflect, renew and restore balance in my life after a week of work so that I have what I need to give to my family and my friends.
Number One: I spend time with God. I make time and space for God. I make space for spirit. I take the time and I read my word or I read a spiritual word. I do something that nourishes my spirit. I listen to music whether it be gospel or hip-hop or it could even be Barbra Streisand. Whatever my soul was feeling at that time. I listen to music and I just allow myself to be. I let myself to be present not worrying about where I have to go or when I have to do something.
Number Two: I give thanks for where I am and I don’t worry about where I’m going. I don’t worry about what’s ahead and I don’t worry about what’s behind. I give thanks for this very moment so when I have done all the work I need to do for that day I can sit and I just give thanks. When the household is quiet when my family is asleep I give thanks. I make time to go through all the wonderful things that happened that day.
Number Three: I always take a spiritual bath before I go to bed. I was raised with old-time spiritualist and taking a spiritual bath is very important, taking a spiritual bath helps you to get rid of energies and toxic things that don’t belong to you. There are various spiritual baths that you can take to restore balance. My favorite is the clearing bath that I make. It is great for helping you feel refreshed after a long day.
Number Four: I always spray my home and my work space with my house clearing spray. My sprays are designed to clear energy and raise the vibration of any surroundings, so as I spray I state the intention that anything that is not mine, leaves and that all energy is restored to it’s highest frequency. I do this because you never know what you are bring into your space especially if you have been out all day working with clients or in meetings. We are all energy and energy attracts so be sure to clear your home/ office.
If you practice these things on a daily basis not only will you notice a shift in your energy. You will become more balanced and prepared for the next day.
